Repair of jammed knob on bass guitar

Repair of jammed knob on bass guitar

In music, the tone of the bass is very important as lets you control the eq and drive. Although the volume knobs are working fine, the tonal knob on the bass guitar was stuck and unable to turn. After removing the knob button, it was confirmed that the potentiometer was jammed. After spraying WD-40 and letting the substance seep into the small tight gaps, the potentiometer was able to turn and function normally. No problems to the wiring, and the bass guitar is back to full health without and replacement of any spare parts.
